2007 Highland Park

Farmer's Market

Save the Dates!  The 2007 Highland Park Farmers Market will kick-off the Market on Saturday, August 4th starting at 10:00 am.  This year’s Market is located on Victor Street (between Woodward & John R), and will run for 8 consecutive Saturdays.  The Market is run by a community collaboration whose goal is to provide opportunities to local and urban farmers and gardeners living right in Highland Park.

“Last year in our inaugural season, the Market saw some 600 customers purchase fresh produce over a 4 week period, and our goal is to eclipse that number of participants,” said Joanne Brown, from the Cities of Promise Partnership Team.

We are still in search of some local farmers and gardeners to participate in the Market selling their produce, flowers, and plants.  The Market has also added a limited number of spaces for Arts & Craft vendors, as well as a puppet show planned for our children and other activities to make this a family affair for the entire Highland Park and surrounding communities.

We are still reaching out to businesses, churches, organizations and others for donations, both monetary and in-kind, and to volunteer their time, said Theresa Cummings, Highland Park resident and Co-Market Manager.
